5454 H32 6.35mm thickness cylindrical tank trailer aluminum sheet
Tank trucks are transport vehicles with a tank-shaped body used for carrying various liquids, liquefied
gases, powdered goods, etc. The body of an aluminum alloy tank truck consists of several parts,
including side panels, fenders, and tank openings.
The commonly used aluminum plates for tank trucks in the market are generally less than 12.5 meters
in length and less than 2.2 meters in width. The common thicknesses are 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, and 8mm.
A complete tank body of a tank truck usually requires the welding of 4-6 aluminum plates.
We supplies raw materials for producing aluminum plates for tank trucks, including 5052, 5754, 5454, 5182, etc.
Aluminum Material Advantages than other material
Aluminum tanker trailers are used to transport petrochemical products such as diesel, gasoline,
kerosene, methanol, and ethanol. They are light weight with mass as little as 6 tons. Therefore,
the weight of goods carried can be increased. Since the tanker body is made of aluminum, this
type of trailers does not need anti rust treatment and there’s no need to worry about rust residue
or damage done by rust. The trailer’s material is also environmentally friendly.

5454 aluminum’s most notable properties include its weldability, formability, corrosion resistance, and strength.
5454 aluminum’s excellent weldability creates strong bonds without sacrificing the alloy’s mechanical
characteristics, and its good formability allows it to be shaped into complex shapes while still maintaining
its structural integrity. These characteristics are part of what makes the metal a versatile material for
various applications.
One of the standout features of 5454 aluminum is its superior resistance to corrosion, especially in dealing
with exposure to chemicals and industrial pollutants. One application where this property is put to good
use is handling or transporting corrosive materials where durability is crucial.
Finally, 5454 aluminum is stronger than other non-heat-treatable aluminum alloys in the 5000 series. Its
higher strength makes the alloy suitable for applications that require resilience and durability.
Transportation
Aluminum sheet for tank trailers normally have a oversize width, so we use platform flat container for the shipment.
