Hot dip galvanizing is a process to prevent corrosion of a steel sheet or iron sheet, by applying a protective zinc coating. This involves the full hard steel, which has been through an acid wash and then passed through a rolling process inside the zinc pot. This adds a layer of zinc film to the sheet's surface and creates the hot dipped galvanized steel sheet in coil (GI).
